Valhalla is Aston Martin’s first mid-engined series production supercar — a plug-in hybrid shaped by Formula 1 thinking and inspired by Valkyrie. A 4.0-litre flat-plane-crank twin-turbo V8 works with three electric motors for 1,064 hp, carried by a carbon fibre monocoque and active aerodynamics. Limited to 999 examples worldwide, with deliveries from 2025.
Engineering Done Differently
Formula 1 technology, made road legal.
Valhalla was conceived around the driver. A carbon fibre monocoque provides the rigidity, F1-derived pushrod front suspension provides the control, and active front and rear aerodynamics react in under half a second to hold the car to the road. The result is a supercar that generates in excess of 1,300 lb of downforce at 150 mph, yet remains composed enough to drive every day — including in near-silence on electric power alone.
Design
Valhalla is built around a carbon fibre monocoque tub with ultra-rigid aluminium subframes front and rear, clothed in carbon fibre body panels and opened by dihedral doors. Every surface is worked for a purpose: the form follows the airflow, not the other way around.
Active aerodynamics at both ends adjust within half a second of a change in conditions, generating in excess of 1,300 lb (600 kg) of downforce at 150 mph. Unprecedented aerodynamics, race-derived engineering and exquisite detailing — held in a shape that is unmistakably Aston Martin.
Interior
The cockpit places the driver in an F1-inspired position, with a raised-heel seating layout that reclines the body and lowers the hip point for a direct, connected relationship with the car. Controls are grouped where the hands already are.
A 10.25-inch column-mounted digital display moves with the steering wheel, joined by a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, a digital rear-view mirror and Apple CarPlay. An optional 14-speaker, 745W Bowers & Wilkins audio system is available for those who want it.
Performance
A mid-mounted 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 — flat-plane crankshaft, hot-V layout, dry sump, twin-scroll turbos — delivers 828 hp on its own. Three electric motors complete the picture: two on the front axle for torque vectoring and all-wheel drive, and a third integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Combined output is 1,064 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque, for 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph. A 6.1 kWh, 400V battery allows EV-only running at speeds of up to 80 mph, while e-reverse and an electronic differential replace conventional hardware entirely.
