Vanquish is the pinnacle of Aston Martin — the most potent series-production model in the marque’s 112-year history and the sole custodian of its bespoke 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12. Producing 824 hp and 738 lb-ft, it reaches 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and runs on to 214 mph. Built in numbers no greater than 1,000 a year, it is a front mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive Super GT engineered without compromise.

Where the rest of the range moves forward, Vanquish stands apart. Its 5.2-litre bi-turbo V12 is developed in-house and reserved for this car alone, delivering 824 hp at 6,500 rpm and 738 lb-ft from just 2,500 rpm. A longer wheelbase, a carbon fibre body and driveshaft, a titanium exhaust and a 51:49 weight distribution give it the poise to match the power. Production is capped at fewer than 1,000 cars each year, making Vanquish as rare as it is resolute.
Design
Vanquish wears the longest bonnet in the modern Aston Martin range, its proportions dictated by the front mid-mounted V12 beneath. A concave 'tidal wave' grille, flush-deploying door handles and swan doors give the silhouette its tension, while the side strake carries a V12 emblem as a statement of intent.
At the rear, a decisive Kamm tail is crowned by Aston Martin's new Shield, a nod to 112 years of legacy. Full-width LED light blades sit against a carbon fibre rear panel, framed by quad exhausts with distinctive square-circular edges.
Interior
The 2+2 cabin is built around the driver without abandoning the grand tourer's promise of distance. Sixteen-way adjustable Sports Plus seats, an Alcantara headlining and hand-finished leather are set against exposed carbon fibre, with physical controls retained for the functions that matter most at speed.
A 10.25-inch touchscreen sits alongside a configurable digital instrument display, and an available Bowers & Wilkins system delivers 1,170 watts through 15 speakers. Every surface is specifiable through Q by Aston Martin, so no two cars need ever be alike.
Performance
A bonded aluminium structure, stiffened significantly over its predecessor, underpins double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension with Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers. A rear electronic differential shifts from fully open to fully locked in 135 milliseconds, metering torque with a precision no mechanical unit can match.
Carbon ceramic brakes — 410 mm front, 360 mm rear — sit within 21-inch forged wheels shod in bespoke Pirelli P Zero tyres. Five driving modes recalibrate the powertrain, damping and steering, allowing Vanquish to travel continents in comfort or attack a road with genuine ferocity.
