DB12 redefines what a grand tourer can be. A hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 delivers 671 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels, carrying DB12 from rest to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and on to 202 mph. With a stiffer bonded aluminium structure, an electronic rear differential and a bespoke in-house infotainment system, it is a car built to cross continents with the composure of a sports car.
No Mere GT
A quantum shift in sporting character.
Every element of DB12 was reconsidered in pursuit of a single idea: that a tourer need not trade precision for grace. Power is up 34% over its predecessor, torsional rigidity is up 7%, and the front and rear tracks have been widened to sharpen response. The result is a car that flatters on a long journey and rewards on a demanding road.
Design
DB12 wears the proportions of a true front mid-engined GT: a long bonnet, a cab-rearward stance and taut, uninterrupted surfacing. The iconic vaned grille grows dramatically, with 56% more open area to feed the engine, while wider tracks give the car a planted, muscular presence.
Composite body panels, a full-width rear light blade and a discreet side strake carrying the Aston Martin wordmark complete a design cut with dynamic sharpness. Nothing is decorative for its own sake; every line answers to the car's purpose.
Interior
The cabin is hand-finished in Scottish Leather Group hides and Alcantara, with optional carbon fibre and wood veneers. Comfort seats offer heating and 12-way power adjustment, and a choice of interior environments allows the character of the space to be tailored to the owner.
At its centre sits Aston Martin's first bespoke, in-house infotainment system: dual 10.25-inch Pure Black displays with a 30-millisecond touch response, 3D navigation, over-the-air updates and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An optional Bowers & Wilkins surround-sound system brings 15 speakers and 1,170 watts, with Continuum midrange drivers and dedicated 3D headline speakers.
Performance
A bonded aluminium structure, 7% stiffer in global torsional rigidity, underpins double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension. New-generation Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers widen the bandwidth of force distribution by 500%, allowing genuine long-distance compliance without surrendering body control.
An electronic rear differential moves from open to fully locked in milliseconds, working with the ZF eight-speed automatic and bespoke Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tyres to place power precisely. Four powertrain calibrations — GT, Sport, Sport+ and Wet — let the driver choose the car's temperament, from effortless tourer to something considerably more urgent.
